Okay, so I know it's been eons since I've used this thing. But here I go.

The original idea behind this journal was to make it an "art blog" type thing....well, that failed. I am simply too busy to feel like bothering with this format very often (Clearly).

However, I have recently made a tumblr and am planning on getting a backlog of posts queued up on there so if you are interested in following my artwork at all, my suggestion would be to go there as this thing will probably only ever be sporadically updated.

Some of the stuff I post there will be stuff you've seen around before, but hopefully I can get some pretty frequent sketch posts going up there soon. Also if you have an art blog on tumblr or know of any good ones I should follow, let me know!

As far as life news goes, still doing that art teaching thing--year 2 officially, year 3 by my count. Getting the hang of it but MAN is life ever busy. School is making my life speed past me. Thinking of moving to Colorado so I can at least enjoy my surroundings while I do this thing.

Been rather absent from the internet world for some time now. I need to get more serious about keeping this thing updated--as it stands I just barely keep my Deviantart account up to speed. Most of the problem is that I have very little time to make art during the school year and over the summer I'm running around like crazy seeing people I don't get to see during the rest of the year.

In short, not much has been accomplished this summer.

However, I did manage to pull out the sculpey a few days ago and start fiddling around for fun...suddenly this little guy appeared.



Works out well because I just got a toaster oven specifically for baking sculpey so that I don't have to worry about toxins working their way into my toast. Will try and update with the finished product whenever I manage to get it painted...got a busy weekend coming up so it may not be exactly soon.

Scorpion Dreams and Other Things

Nothing like a bit of Assonance to start the day off right (thank you Rita).

Really not much to post right now. I'm more worried about getting my classroom set up and preparing for the school year than doodling. Still, one must find the time for some things lest one explodes.

Ack. Its been a while, hm.



Have a doodle? Not much time for drawing of late. Just got a job as an art educator and am pretty much waving goodbye to my free doodle time for the next however long I pursue this career path.

On a more serious note I think there's something wrong with me. I can't stop drawing canines. Specifically wolves. I don't even like wolves all that much. And yet they keep falling out of my table pen.

Phew, been a while. It's been a rollercoaster of a year, I'll just say that. Here, have some random doodles. One day I'll have time to draw something worth having a sketchblog for.
